Michael G. Tanner

In his thirty years of legal practice, Mike Tanner has earned renown as one of north Florida’s top litigation and appellate lawyers. He is a skilled legal strategist and, as senior Principal of the firm, brings a depth of experience and perspective to every client matter. Mike’s primary areas of practice include complex litigation, appellate (state and federal courts), and election law.

Mike’s legal acumen and track record has made him one of Jacksonville’s most recognized attorneys. He is Board Certified in both civil trial and business litigation by The Florida Bar Board of Legal Specialization and Education and he is rated “AV” by Martindale-Hubbell, Inc. (since 1987). Mike is listed in Best Lawyers in America for both Commercial Litigation and Appellate Law. He has been recognized within Florida Trend Magazine’s “Legal Elite” (2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010) and also in Super Lawyers Magazine (2007, 2008, 2009). For 2007-2008, Mike was Chair of The Florida Bar Board of Legal Specialization and Education, which oversees all certification programs for The Florida Bar. He has been widely published and has taught advocacy at the University of Florida College of Law, Florida Coastal School of Law and Kebel College, Oxford University.
